UPDATE 4/11/20: PC Gamer has reported that Ubisoft are aware of the problem. No proper solution to this issue is available at the time of writing, but we’ll update the story should it be resolved either through a solution you can apply, or a fix on Ubisoft’s end. There is no way of manually saving the game in Watch Dogs: Legion. Players who resorted to Alt-F4 to close the game will find them losing valuable progress, like a mission need doing again, or a character needed recruiting again. On our end, we tried leaving it up to 10 minutes and the game still isn’t properly saving. Upon quitting Watch Dogs: Legion to the main menu, the game essentially froze while it’s supposed to be saving progress to the cloud. The problem right now that many players (including us) have faced is that the cloud saves don’t work as reliably and thus caused lost of game progression. Ubisoft recently rebranded its Uplay PC client (and Ubisoft Club mobile app) to Ubisoft Connect, and brings with it cloud saves that work across multiple platforms. We can confirm that it has affected on our end here as well. Some replied on the thread have reported up to 6 hours of progress. Watch Dogs: Legion is out now but if you’re playing on PC, it’s still a rough experience on the technical side.Ī Reddit post on r/uplay has appeared where players reported hours of lost progress due to the game’s cloud saves not working properly.

One such tool is the Milwaukee M18 Fuel One-Key Table Saw Kit, which has all the oomph of a corded table saw, but runs on an M18 battery. But with today’s battery technology, more and more power tools are able to cut the tether and go cordless. These are powerful tools that require a lot of energy to keep them going. Most power saws are corded, and for good reason. All in all, this is a tool for both professionals and serious hobbyists who want the utmost in saw performance. While any table saw is potentially dangerous, this one takes safety to new heights with a sensor that detects human skin, bringing the blade to a complete stop in less than 5 milliseconds should that occur. There’s a built-in, highly accurate miter gauge and two miter slots for holding boards steady. With the blade straight, you can make cuts up to 3-⅛ inches deep. The blade tilts up to 45 degrees to the left for making bevel cuts, and can cut up to 2-¼-inch deep at that angle. The SawStop table saw has a 20-inch-wide by 27-inch-deep table, but with the extensions, allows you to make rip cuts as wide as 30.5 inches to the right and 16.5 inches to the left. And this saw handles them all: cross cuts, rip cuts, bevel cuts, miter cuts, bevel cuts, and dado cuts with the appropriate blade. The sturdy cast-iron frame means you won’t need to worry about vibrations interfering with the perfect cut. This powerful table saw has a 1.75-horsepower motor that spins the 10-inch blade up to 3,000 rpm. Most DIYers and home handypeople don’t need the power, size, or expense of a large table saw, but if you do, the SawStop CNS175-SFA30 Contractor Table Saw is the tool of choice. With these considerations in mind, let’s take a look at the best table saw picks on the market to find the right fit for you. These expensive tools are mostly used by professionals in woodworking shops. Finally, there are cabinet table saws that enclose the motor within a cabinet that serves as the support for the work table and blade up above. These are more powerful and are suited to the more serious hobbyist or professional. There are also contractor table saws that stand on their own built-in table. There are table saws that sit atop your work bench or on a folding stand in your shed (or maybe you're even building your own with roofing), and these are both very popular with DIYers. One of the biggest considerations when choosing a table saw is the format that's right for you. The other is a rabbet cut, which is a partially grooved cut commonly used when building cabinets or furniture like a porch swing, picnic table, or headboard. One is a dado cut, which produces a flat-bottomed groove across the board. With the right type of blade, you can also use your table saw for specialty cuts. Beveled cuts, which cut into the end of the board at an angle, are another possibility. You can also do a miter cut with a table saw: that's a diagonal cut across the width of a board, and is very useful when constructing trim. You can also use your table saw for crosscuts this is a cut that goes across the grain to reduce a board by length. They provide fast, highly accurate rip cuts, which is a cut that goes with the wood's grain to reduce a board's width. Table saws are useful for quite a few different types of cuts. The table-saw blade is partly exposed most table saws let you adjust the blade up and down a bit to tailor the amount of exposed blade, as well as its angle, to your needs. These power tools consist of a circular blade that's mounted underneath a flat, table-like work surface, so unlike most other power saws, the table saw cuts from underneath rather than from above. In addition, the saw table is equipped with a parallel and mitre guide for precise working and has an angle adjustment from 0 to 45 degrees for bevel cuts.If you work with wood in any capacity, chances are you rely on a table saw to make clean, accurate cuts. With the saw table it is possible to cut accurately, make long cuts and saw off large workpieces. Think for example sawing of solid wood, MDF, chipboard and laminated wood. This multifunctional sawing machine is suitable for sawing various types of wood and plate material. The table saw is supplied with several accessories so you can start working immediately after delivery! In addition to the table, the package also includes a 24T saw blade, mitre guide, parallel guide, push stick and an adapter to connect a (construction) vacuum cleaner to the saw table. The table is driven by a powerful 800 Watt induction motor and has an unloaded speed of 2950 rotations per minute. Thanks to the weight and design of the machine, it is also easy to move. This FERM TSM1036 is a compact and powerful table saw and suitable for sawing all kinds of wood at different angles. Though a slower effort than we’re used to from the band, a plucky chord progression provides the backbone, its slow progression creating a steady feeling of unease until the song erupts into its bittersweet chorus. Thank God he didn't have to give people some sort of other change back or ever say anything else to any customers on a routine basis, like "Here's your penny back," or "Here's your receipt ma'am." Those would have been horrible band names. Nickelback’s fourth Top 10 single (it reached No.8 in the US charts), Far Away is another moving cut from the group’s fifth album, All The Right Reasons. Long story short: Mike served crappy, over-priced coffee, gave people nickels, formed a crappy band and should now technically owe Starbucks all sorts of royalties. (Similar to the US but at 70% of the value.) Apparently, during this transaction, he would frequently find himself saying "Here's your nickel back." In a Facebook post, as quoted by the BBC, they wrote 'And when we catch. In an attempt to dissuade the people of Kensington from drunk driving, the local police decided to threaten them with drastic measures. 5 Canadian cents, when placed into one coin, is also called a nickel. The Reason People Hate Nickelback So Much, According To Research. (Mike, by the way, for those of you who have too much of a life to care about these things, is the half brother of Chad Kroeger and bass player for this talented menagerie.) While working at Starbucks, Mike found that he would often have to provide the customer with 5 Canadian cents in change. Turns out Mike Kroeger used to work at Starbucks serving what were no doubt some of the deepest, most thoughtful lattes this side of France. There's such hype about the pride Chad and the band members have in the band, and how deep the lyrics are, and how awesome at life their fans are, but, did you ever stop and ask yourself, "Why, self, do I think they chose the name 'Nickelback' for such an incredibly awesome rock band?" I assume Wikipedia is never wrong about anything, so they can't be wrong about the origin of the name "Nickelback." Įncouraging Firestar “Come on baby, light your fire!”.On working out how to defeat Video Man: “Hooray for education!” Iceman, being the star of the episode, gets some pretty good lines, which Frank Welker delivers with the humour that they’re intended with: Something that becomes a pattern with these three episodes is that the main story ends up becoming secondary to the origin story, so character development is prioritised over plot and action, which is fine, but it feels a little bit of a waste of an otherwise decent premise (Video Man drawing out a quasi-Pacman and a UFO from a Space Invaders-esque game to menace the Amazing Friends is quite fun). Iceman is quick to bring it up to him when JJ gets trapped inside the scary arcade machine world that Video Man was spawned from (when asked to save him, Iceman rebuts sarcastically “Do I get a signed photo if I do?”). Jonah Jameson, played up as the real skeevy huckster that he is, initially putting a bounty out to capture Spider-Man that Iceman went in for. Video Man, the quite lame 2D computer game villain, returns as the guy to team up to fight, but the main antagonist is really J. We get a flashback cameo for the X-Men (original lineup of Professor Charles Xavier, Angel, Beast, Marvel Girl and Cyclops), who will be back in a more prominent role in the Firestar episode. Immediately noticeable is how good the animation is with lots of cool background details, light and shade, special effects and things to pick out in many shots. Iceman begins to lose his powers, prompting the use of a memory probe to contrive a reason to recall his origin. Don Glut (prolific animation writer and pretty much the “father” of the Dinobots) handled the Iceman and Spidey episodes and Christy Marx, head writer for Jem, handled Firestar. Three episodes, each focusing on the origins of Spidey and his two college roommates/partners in crime fighting, Iceman and Firestar. Today, I’m just going to look at season 2, the shortest season, from 1982. The show came out in 1981, alongside the solo Spider-Man show, and ran for three seasons, spanning 24 episodes. Well, as my review of The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians got some likes and there were requests for reviews of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, I figured I’d give them a shot.

William Roebuck, deputy special envoy to the global coalition to defeat ISIS and a senior advisor to the U.S. The conversation, which was moderated by USIP President and CEO Nancy Lindborg, was preceded by a panel discussion on “How ISIS Really Ends.” ISIS is a ‘Significant Threat’ McKenzie spoke in an online discussion hosted by the U.S. Unless this problem is resolved, he said, “we are setting a strategic barrier for ourselves 10 to 15 years down the road as these children grow older, as they are radicalized.” raid.Įmphasizing the importance of dealing with those who have been displaced by the conflict, McKenzie said: “The enduring defeat of ISIS has got to incorporate a way forward for the displaced persons and all the people that are at risk across the theater if not, we are actually never really going to defeat ISIS and the problem is going to come back.” Seven months later, the group’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, killed himself during a U.S. Central Command, said of ISIS, adding the warning: “Without sustained pressure, they have got the potential to do so in a relatively short period of time.”Ī U.S.-led coalition pushed ISIS out of its last strongholds in Baghuz, Syria, in March 2019. “We believe they continue to aspire to regain control of physical terrain,” Marine Corps Gen. A member of the Syrian Democratic Forces shoots at an Islamic State drone near Baghuz, Syria, on Feb. This already tall ask has been made even more challenging by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will take a combination of military and financial pressure, attention to public grievances, and the repatriation and rehabilitation of people who lived or fought with ISIS-as well as those who were subjugated by them-to foil the militant group’s ambitions, according to senior U.S. Our military needs to be allowed to finish the job, or kids who haven’t even heard of ISIS in our country will one day have to put their lives on the line to defeat an enemy that we should have defeated when we had the chance. The Islamic State (ISIS), which was driven from its strongholds in Syria and Iraq over a year ago, is determined to regain territory in the region. If that happens, Trump will have blood on his hands because he surrendered to ISIS, grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory at a time when ISIS is at their most vulnerable. Leaving now before the fight is finished guarantees that we will have to come back again and start all over, especially if ISIS launches attacks on American soil. “We want (ISIS) to be able to be controlled or addressed by the indigenous partners, whether that’s the Iraqi security forces in Iraq, or the Syrian Democratic Forces in Syria, that when they are capable of handing this threat on their own, without our assistance, that will be another key criteria indicating to me that we have accomplished our mission of defeat of ISIS.”Ĭlearly, our partners in the region still need our help combating ISIS. “They still require our enablement and our assistance with this,” Votel said. The four star general, whom Trump did not consult before making his statement, also pointed out that our allies in the region are not quite strong enough to keep ISIS at bay should we abandon them. “They still have this very powerful ideology, so they can inspire.” “When I say, ‘we have defeated them,’ I want to ensure that means they do not have the capability to plot or direct attacks against the US or our allies,” Votel continued. (The caliphate) still has leaders, still has fighters, it still has facilitators, it still has resources, so our continued military pressure is necessary to continue to go after that network.” “I would not have made that suggestion, frankly. “It would not have been my military advice at that particular time,” Votel said. This week, General Votel told CNN during an interview that he also disagrees with Trump’s premature declaration: Even Trump’s own intelligence officials agree that ISIS is not defeated. The decision resulted in Secretary of Defense James Mattis resigning in protest along with the top US envoy in the coalition, who slammed Trump for falsely declaring victory. Trump infamously declared victory over ISIS in Syria in December while announcing his decision to withdraw American forces even though thousands of ISIS fighters remain and can regroup to retake hard-won territory and launch future attacks against the United States and our allies. Oh, if Fraser only desired to get into Satan herself! See clip above: (begins 3:24) Sorry about the music - couldn’t find any clips with the dialogue!Ĩ. Hurley gets her ya-yas out in anger in the form of what I can only term “sudden giantess”. When the beleaguered Fraser attempts to get out of his otherworldly contract of fate, it only makes Satan steamed. The remake, however, gets a decidedly 21st century upgrade: the devil is in a red dress and in the comely form of Elizabeth Hurley. “Bedazzled” is a middling remake of the seminal 1967 British comedy that teamed Dudley Moore and Peter Cook-a Faustian tale about a noodnik (Brendan Fraser) with bad luck who makes a deal with the devil. She zooms up to several hundred feet high (guesstimate: 200-foot mad mama) and scoops up the helicopter that’s aiming for her son with a firm “Back off!” It’s too bad Wayne didn’t think of it earlier. In the film’s climax, Strassman takes matters into her own hand when her youngest is threatened by the military. This inevitable sequel to the 1989 Disney hit “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” continues the geeky adventures of intrepid scientist nerd Wayne Szalinski (‘80s gorgon Rick Moranis) whose latest endeavor has accidentally caused his toddler to become a big kid on the block. It’s a send-up of ‘50s sci-fi creature features with Reese Witherspoon voicing the young large lady. Aliens,” which is probably fun for the whole family. If not, this list should help you start mulling it over!) There’ve been so many adaptations of TV shows lately, so when are they going to do a film version of “Land of the Giants” with say any number of MTV generation babes ballooned up to Brobdingnagian heights? The only film I know on the immediate horizon featuring a giantess is the upcoming animated film “Monsters vs. Would it kill the powers to be to come up with some giant women films? There’s a plethora of lovely women I’d love to see on the ‘big’ screen (Famke Janssen, Gina Gershon, Elisabeth Shue, Angelina Jolie, Parker Posey…well, the list goes on and on, and I’m sure many out there have their faves. There’s a fetish as well (some more for ‘vore’: violence/gore factors, while the main strain seems to be ‘gentle’ I vote for the latter). What is it about large ladies (and for the record, I don’t mean heavy women that’s another category altogether) that is so appealing? Is it the domination of a sexy woman in little (or no) clothing as a pure wet-dream fantasy? The powerful status of a woman literally towering above all of her domain? Or simply the guilty pleasure of seeing tiny men with ginormous babes? Sure science fiction has offered a few memorable moments for the silver screen in the past, but it’s been a dearth of the sexy subgenre. What is missing from today’s cinema? Two words: giant women.
